This book is the fast-paed story of this longrunning batle and recounts the operations of the 10th Cruiser Squadron, the changes in strategy on both sides during the war, the use of some forty converted liners and armed merchant vessels as earships (AMCs), and the final destruction of German surface vessel commerce warfare; this culminated in the hasr-fought battle between the raider SMS Leopardand two British ships, the armed boarding steamer Dundee and Achilles, an armoured cruiser.
